St. John Vianney is committed to providing opportunities for students to air their complaints and seek resolution. In addition to its Policy on Complaints and Appeals Procedures listed in its website (https://www.sjvcs.edu/about-us/policies), St. John Vianney College Seminary, through its participation in SARA (State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements) provides an additional level of accountability to protect and respond to the rights of distance learners.
Distance students at St. John Vianney College Seminary, after having exhausted the institutions’ procedures for the resolution of grievances, and within two (2) years of the incident about which the complaint is made, can file a written complaint to FL-SARA Postsecondary Distance Education Council (PRDEC), SARA's portal agency for the state of Florida. For instructions on filing a complaint with SARA, please visit the FL-SARA Complaint Process webpage. Please note that complaints related to grades or student conduct may not be appealed to FL-SARA.
Students must follow the institutional complaint process provided by St. John Vianney College Seminary. If the student is not satisfied with the outcome, he/she may appeal the complaint to the Council by downloading, filling out and sending the following Complaint Form to FLSARAinfo@fldoe.org.
