Activities
CAMPUS
LIFE -
Non-seminarian students are offered a variety of cultural and
social activities. All such events are posted on bulletin boards
throughout the college seminary campus.
STUDENT GOVERNMENT -
All full-time students are members of the Student Government,
a seminary organization with the purpose of fostering student
participation, representation and responsibility in the life of St. John
Vianney. The Student Government is governed by its constitution. Through
its elected officers the association provides a channel of communication
among students on the one hand and with faculty and administrators on
the other Elections are held annually for the positions of President and
Vice-President of the Student Body and twice yearly for Class Deans.
CELEBRATION OF LANGUAGES -
Once a year, the students present a literary evening,
celebrating the English and the Spanish languages respectively. Original
compositions, as well as classic writings are included
PUBLICATIONS -
Students interested in journalism
publish The Canticle. This provides them the opportunity to write for
publication and to promote vocations to the priesthood through written
communication.
ALUMNI ASSOCIATION -
The purpose of this Association is to foster fraternity among
the alumni, to coordinate an Annual Reunion of the Alumni at the
Seminary, to provide support for the Seminary from the membership and to
seek such support from benefactors and friends of the Seminary.
Membership in the Association is open to all alumni of the Seminary, lay
and clerical. |
