Pre-Theologians are required to take a minimum of four courses in theology, for a total of twelve semester credit hours. Given the greatly varied background of those entering as Pre-Theologians, this program uses an adult learning model which is an integrated process of basic theological learning with personal, spiritual, communal and apostolic development. The program's Theology curriculum consists of courses which are introductory in nature, but they serve the worthwhile purpose of giving students a deeper understanding of and appreciation for the rich tradition and teaching of Roman Catholicism.
