COMPUTER SCIENCES 

CIS 101 - COMPUTER INFORMATION SYSTEMS
An in-depth presentation of personal computers hardware and software concepts and options. The student will have the opportunity to obtain practical experience in word processing, spreadsheet, and the disk operating system (PC-DOS), and will be exposed to the impact computers could have in the work environment.

HISTORY

HIS 151 - SURVEY OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION I (3)
A survey of selected historical events and movements and an analysis of their contribution to the development of Western civilization.

HIS 152 - HISTORY OF WESTERN CIVILIZATION II (3)
A contribution of the analysis of selected historical events begun in HIS-151.

HIS 251 - UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT (3)
A history of the founding and development of the United States and its system of government.

HIS 306 - HISPANIC AMERICAN HISTORY (3)
A study of the political, economic, social, and religious dimensions of selected Hispanic periods from 1492 A.D., and their relationship to events in other cultural settings.

HUMANTIES

HUM 201 - THE WESTERN PERSON I (3)
An inter-disciplinary study of western culture in its artistic, literary, and musical forms from ancient times to the present.

HUM 202 - THE WESTERN PERSON II (3)
A continuation of the study of Western culture begun in HLIM zoi.

HUM 301 - ART AND ARCHITECTURE APPRECIATION
A study of the major art and architecture developments that have had influence on western culture and Roman Catholics. Particular concern will be on church architecture throughout Catholic history.

HUM 302 - CHURCH MUSIC APPRECIATION (3)
A study of the liturgical music expressions that have been
part of the Roman Catholic and Christian faith traditions.

HUM 480 - SPECIAL TOPICS (var) (3)
The topic is selected to meet the academic needs of a special group of students.

MATHEMATICS

MAT 101 - MATHEMATICS (3)
A study of the applied aspects of modern mathematics in the social and natural sciences including set theory, symbolic math, probability theory and game theory.
 
NATURAL SCIENCES

BIO 101 - BIOLOGY (3)
Through the study of living systems, the course illustrates the nature and scope of science as a body of knowledge and as a human activity. The cellular, organismic and ecosystemic level of organization are explored from both the reductionistic and the holistic perspectives.

SCI 301 - GENERAL SCIENCE (3)
A survey of the major areas of natural science and how they relate to each other.

HEALTH

HEE 101 - HEALTH AND EXERCISE I (3)
A study of overall health through diet and exercise with require exercise classes.

HEE 102 - HEALTH AND EXERCISE II (3)
Requires each student to participate in a personal training program. This course will include drug and substance abuse education.

SPEECH

SPC 301 - GENERAL SPEECH (3)
Experience in vanous communication skills: public speak-ing, group discussion, voice production.

SPC 352 - ORAL INTERPRETATION OF LITERATURE (s) Principles and techniques of communicating the written word to an audience, using passages from literature and the Scriptures. Practice in development of vocal and articulatory skills.
