Music: The Universal Language (2014-2015 Saint Martha - Yamaha Concert Series)

  • 2900 SW 87th Ave Miami, FL, 33165 United States (map)

"Music: The Universal Language"

We return to the original spirit of chamber music: friends gathered around a trio of local master musicians they love, sharing music and community in elegant informality. Bring the family to meet Ludwig von Beethoven (Trio in G Major), Clara Schumann (Three Romances), John Williams (Schindler's List), George Gershwin (Porgy and Bess), Camille Saint-Saens (le Cygnet), Hector Villa-Lobos (o Canto do Cygene Negro), Max Bruch (Kol Nidre), and Franz Schubert (Trio in E-flat Major).
This concert features an added dimension of artist discussions with the audience and seminary rector Msgr. Roberto Garza. The discussion theme will be "a mutual understanding of how music universally speaks to our souls."

This concert will take place in St. Raphael Chapel.
